A QUITE PLACE

We go through life mired in turmoil but quiet and solitude slows down the pace
Retreating to a quiet place sometime makes us appreciate our private space.
We need to take the time to relax and recharge both our brains and body
Sometimes the process requires only a short interlude of rest with a ”toddy".

The serenity of seeing a mountain stream surrounded by valleys and high peaks
Permits us to dream of moments and places we’re not able to seek.
A stroll through a forest on a small path lets us enjoy the splendor nature brings
It is as if the landscape had a bath with the pastel greens of spring.

The song of the birds as they flit from branch to branch blends with the hum of bees
Changing shadows in the soft filtered light produce the tranquility found in the trees.
The gentle breeze that ruffles and rustles the leaves produces the music of nature
Finding some to listen to and absorb from time to time makes this a pleasant venture.

The presence of a companion who shares your memories, visions and dreams
Makes the experience even more rewarding and enjoyable than it might seem.
We are then able to return to our structured existence with its normal strife
And with your wife take up the place that we normally occupy in real life.
