This page is used to announce upcoming events at Camp Moore that may be of interest to the general public or to individuals wishing to help at Camp Moore in some fashion.  This list will be updated as conditions warrant.  This page last updated on:

• Camp Moore is closed for the Holiday season and will reopen Wednesday, January 4, 2012. 

• A special thank you to all that helped make our annual reenactment in November a success.  We raised  just over $11,000 toward keeping Camp Moore open another year.  Thank you to all that participated, those that worked and to those that attended.  You ALL made it happen and we thank you.

• PLEASE see our update Book Sales page.  There are some fantastic deals on some books that we are closing out to make room for some new titles.  Many of the books are HALF PRICE

• Camp Moore has a vertical file of research material that is open for public research.  If you have information about Camp Moore, anything about Louisiana during the War Between the States, a particular regiment or biographical material on a soldier, please consider making copies and sending to us to include in our research facilities.   We are not asking for your original material, only copies!  We are also interested in pictures of any type of Louisiana soldiers during the war and also seeking information on battles in Louisiana or battles in which Louisiana soldiers participated.   Thank you.

• If you have artifacts (War Between the States period military items, ONLY, please!) that you would be willing to put on loan to Camp Moore for display or know of someone who might, won't you please contact us and let us know.  We want to have the best quality Museum that we can present.  Please help us in this quest!  Contact N.
