Memorial Brick Program
This organization was formed as the voice of the Camp Moore, and provides its membership with up to date news on the many projects that are ongoing with both the museum and cemetery. Through the quarterly newsletter readers will find regular articles such as SCV Happenings, Reenacting news and dates, a word from the Board President, as well as the Museum Director, and much more. We also try to include in each newsletter a copy of an original letter written by a soldier while at Camp Moore. While this proves to be entertaining, it's also a walk back in time and right into the lives of many of the men and their families who were affected by the call to arms.

Memorial Brick Program
As an addition to the Friends of Camp Moore Program, we have instituted a time limited memorial brick program. We are offering inscribed memorial bricks for persons to have laid at the base of our flagpole in front of the museum. This Volunteer Memorial Courtyard will be laid out in the form of a battle flag, with the red memorial bricks constituting the 4 red section of the field of a battle flag. The four red fields of the display will be given unique names: Valor, Honor, Duty and Courage. Here is how the plan works. You may order as many bricks as you wish. Each engraved brick will cost $50.00 and you may have up to 14 spaces per line on 3 lines. Punctuation and spaces between words count as spaces. When you order a brick, you will be sent a verification form to verify your intended message. You will also receive a certificate stating your intent to honor someone and the the message inscribed on your brick will be inscribed on the certificate. The criteria is as follows: 1- A Confederate Ancestor, 2- A Confederate organization, regiment, etc., 3- An SCV, UDC, UCV, MOS&B or C of C organization, 4 - A like-minded individual 5 - A memorial or in honor of someone. Camp Moore reserves the right to reject any application that could be deemed offensive, inappropriate or not meeting the above criteria. Here is a grand opportunity to honor your ancestor or someone you highly regard. What better place than Camp Moore, where so many sons of Louisiana started for war? Send me an email requesting an order form and information and we will get them to you immediately! Contact: N. Wayne Cosby
