Slick is now a daddy! He was bred to Yo, Baldy's full older sister. She had *9* puppies - quite an effort for a first litter! Two of those puppies have come to live here at Runswift - Rowdy and Bandit.

**Show update** - it's Sunday night 4/21/96 and Slick just got back from the Birmingham, AL shows. He got 2nd and Reserve on Sat. *and* (ta da!) 1st, BOW and BOS (over Specials) to his litter sister's (Ch. Bar'O's Suwanee of O'Run - sister Suzie!) Best of Breed - for 2 pts (his first points!)

**Show update** - Slick does it again! After a nail-biting near-win at the Classic City show on Saturday 5/4/96 (he got 2nd and Reserve) Slick was awarded WD and BOW at the Lawrenceville KC show on Sunday 5/12 for 2 more points.

Slick sprained a toe the weekend of 5/18/96 and almost ruined my plans to run him at the lure trials in Hanover, PA over Memorial Day Weekend - so disappointing. But he healed very well and by Monday he was fine so I ran him just that day in the AKC trial. He didn't get any placements, but he ran clean and got 2 qualifying scores and *finally* earned the last leg for his SC!

At the AMUCK Nighthound Lure Trial on July 5th,1996 Slick ran well, especially his preliminary run. There were some really good running dogs there and Slick couldn't quite pull out a placement - but he had fun, as always! (See Edsel's, Baldy's, and Copper's pages for more about the trial)

Slick went to the Greenville, SC shows 7/27-28/96 - but didn't do very well. I went to watch on Saturday and he was definitely limping as he went around, though the judge either didn't see it (she didn't excuse him) or she just didn't judge him because of it. I checked him as soon as he came out of the ring and he had a bruised and swollen, possibly sprained, toe on his right hind leg. Tom and I held him on the grooming table and soaked it it iced Coke (don't laugh! It really works!) On Sunday he was much better and got 2nd in Open.

10/7/96 - Slick went to the Newnan/Griffin shows this weekend.  He didn't get anything on Saturday and on Sunday he got 2nd in Open - see Freckles' page for more show info

** SHOW FLASH! ** - Slick took Winner's Dog at the MAWA Supported entry at the Atlanta Kennel Club show on Oct.12, 1996 for his first major - 4 pts!  Yay Slick!

At the Savannah KC show on Nov 30, 1996 Slick went WD for 1 pt and his son Bandit went RWD from the puppy class.

3/19/97 - Slick went to the Panhandle Circuit with Bobbi Idleman, who bred his mother.  He got Winners Dog - the one day there were NO points in dogs!  Also, he picked up a bug and wouldn't eat - so he lost some weight.

9/12/97 - Slick passed the ATTS Temperament Test and now has the TT to add to his name!

9/22/97 - at the ASFA trials in TN this past weekend Slick got 4th on Sunday for 8 pts.

At the Lawrenceville, Ga show on Feb 2nd Slick went BOW to pick up 2 more pts! He now has 10, including 1 major.
