Featured Game

Here's the second entry in my new Featured Game series. As with the first Featured Game, the page has:

• A double board puzzle, using a position taken from the game

• A downloadable annotated version of the game in .bpgn format

Featured Game #2:

Tour de Force

This game was played September 29, 1998 on the FICS server. Unlike Featured Game #1, this one isn't a wild, seesaw battle with missed opportunities on both sides. Instead, JKiller and Firefly grab the advantage early and bring home the point authoritatively, with well-coordiated attacking and a brilliant final combination. It's a genuine tour de force from two of the best around.

A position from the game is diagrammed below. See if you can find the winning combination found by JKiller and Firefly.
