Featured Game

Here's the fifth entry in my Featured Game series. You will find on this page:

• A double board puzzle, using a position taken from the game. Try to find a way for Lindegren and jtp to force mate.

Featured Game #5:

Donnybrook II

After featuring three straight games with outstanding play and brilliant finishes, this month I feel like presenting the type of game that started this series. That would be the slugfest, the donnybrook - one of those wild and strange games with changes of momentum, missed opportunities, and the occasional egregious oversight. These games may not be the best played games you'll ever see, but I think they are a lot of fun to play through. (Besides, isn't it comforting to see a game played by masters that has as many twists and turns as one of our games? Heh, heh...) Here's the game.
