Featured Game

Here's entry #14 in my Featured Game series. You will find on this page:

• A double board puzzle, using a position taken from the game. Try to decide on the best continuation for Nerv and OBIT. (This one isn't a forced mate - just determine the best plan.)

Temper Tantrums

Oh, dear. Here it is, April 1, and the only annotated game I have ready is this experiment gone awry. Recently, an FICS player named OBIT contacted me and said he'd like to do an annotated game with me. Now, OBIT's rating marks him as just an average player, but I agreed to do it anyway, thinking that an annotated game with a lower-rated guest analyst might turn out interesting.

Man, what a miscalculation on my part! I had no idea this OBIT character would be so contentious. Well, sorry to say, there is no way I'll have another annotated game ready this month, so all I can offer this month is this study in temperament, featuring commentary by a volatile scrub in the bughouse arena. Next month's game will be better, I promise.
