Hans Hans, Jr. married Anna Johannesdatter Byrlokken. Anna emmigrated from Norway in 1883 at the age of 20 with her brother, Morten, who used the name Martin Byhre. Anna choose to use the name Anna Johnson. Anna brought a hand carved chest with her that bore the inscription "Anna Johannesdatter Byhrlokken 1883". Anna family is from the farm Byhrlokken in the Gulbransdal Valley region of Norway near Vinstra.
