HOME CELL CHURCH VISION
A CELL CHURCH IS A CHURCH THAT MEETS IN HOMES INSTEAD OF BUILDINGS. ALL MINISTRY FUNCTIONS TAKE PLACE IN THE HOME (CELL). THE CELLS THEN NETWORK TO FORM THE BODY OF CHRIST. LAY PEOPLE WITHOUT A PROFESSIONAL CLERGY ACCOMPLISH ALL THE MINISTRY WORK. EACH HOME GROUP IS INDEPENDENT FROM THE OTHERS, BUT ALL ARE INTERDEPENDENT AND FORM ONE CHURCH.
Greetings in Christs name,
I pray that all of you are doing well and that Jesus is real in your soul! Blessed is the Lord.
I am writing to keep you informed on what is happening at BBM. As always, If you have a prayer request or an article you want to include in this, your newsletter, call me or e-mail me at jeff@bbmin.com
As of April 1st, Break Bread Ministries, inc. is now incorporated in the state of Georgia as a non- profit organization. We are 501(c)3 compliant and soon will have all the tools in place to accept donations. We set this ministry up to function as a NT ministry, so the articles of incorporation specifically states that there will be no paid salaries or officers.
This was done so that 100% of raised funds will go into ministry work. We intend to target ministry areas the Bible instructs us to: widows and orphans, the fatherless and the hungry, and invest into other ministries that does the work of God. We are not looking for fame or mans accolades, but to build a body of believers who live and practice NT Christianity!
This year, I want to re-direct the focus of BBM from a gathering to study into a group maturing in Christ. Discipleship is a two-part process. The first part is training to learn the word and the voice of God; the second part is acting on what you have been taught.
While a Christian is in the first stage, they can never seem to hear enough sermons or read enough spiritual books, or attend enough revivals. This is because there is a thirst for knowledge of spiritual things, much like a baby always grabbing or touching everything they can get their hands on.
When a Christian enters the second phase, The same sermons dont seem to excite us like they use to. We stop running to revivals and ask ourselves what is wrong with us? We sometimes feel as though we are "bored" with Christianity. The truth of the matter is that we are matured past hearing sermons and SS lessons teaching us the same things over and over again. At this stage only working the gift and/ or ministry God has called you to will bring you joy!
There is nothing more exiting than being 12 yr. old and going to school. But if you take a 20-yr. old, and put them in the same class studying the same things, nothing could be more boring or disillusioning. The same goes for the Christian! Paul rebuked those who" ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth" (2 Tim. 3:7). Therefore, BBM will begin to focus more outward, helping those who do not yet know their callings and gifts to discover them and to then help release them to do that God directs them to do.
We will continue to meet to sing, pray, break bread and study, these are needed for fellowship and strength, but the topics will be Life related topics like; divorce and remarriage, pressures raising children, relationship problems, healthy lifestyles, religious topics of the day as well as your questions. We still may need to cover "the basics" if we grow and find that new believers need instruction.
I also want all of you to pray that there will be an atmosphere during the meetings for the Holy Spirit to flow as He sees fit. You who are used in these areas pray for God to use you, we cannot quench the Spirit and call ourselves an NT congregation.
Stay tuned for more, hope you can come and "break bread" with us.
Love in Christ always,
Jeff Henning
PRAYER & PRAISE REPORTS
We prayed for Sister Thaxtons brother who was in a coma and on life support in Memphis. He was not expected to live. After the meeting, they went and laid hands on him, as of today, he is alive, conscious, and going home! Praise the God that answers prayer.
Our home on the web is at: www.bbmin.com
UPCOMMING MEETING SCHEDULE
Please note that we meet every other Saturday at 5:00 PM. Our meetings are full service, we sing praises, have prayer, teach, anoint with oil the sick and afflicted, and allow all spiritual gifts the room to flow and operate through whoever God chooses to use! Our teaching format is participatory so come with your questions and comments so we can teach each other. We also spend time together "breaking bread" afterwards so if you want to, bring finger foods or dessert when you come.
