The Finished Product that brings God Glory

Keys to building a Spiritual house:

1) Count the Cost before building (Luke 14:28-30)

We must look at the costs involved; time needed to complete as well as problems we will encounter.

2) Build on a Solid Foundation (Matt 7:24-27)

    A) Prophets & Apostles (Eph 2:20)

    B) Jesus Christ (Isaiah 28:16)

    C) The Word (2 Peter 1:16-21)

3) Allow for Error and Waste (Romans 8:28)

Tests, trials, mistakes, failure are for our benefit and have been factored in to our “supply chain” by God.

2Co 12:10 “That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

4) Build Slow, Careful and Sturdily (1 Cor 9:24-27)

We must pace ourselves. Many start but few finish.

Gal 5:7 “You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?”

5) Keep all Areas Level (Amos 7:7-8)

A level allows a builder to maintain plumb in construction.

Use the word of God as a level and plumb line.

Isa 28:17  “I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line;”

6) Not Complete until Occupied (Exodus 40:34-38)

1 Cor 3:16 “Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?”

An abandoned home will become run down and will become home for vagrants.

Mat 12:43 "When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first.
