My genealogy research encompasses my immediate NEW JERSEY and NEW YORK families - - and, since May of 1976, a lot of additional information on my SCOTLAND, ENGLAND, POLAND, PENNSYLVANIA, NEW JERSEY, VIRGINIA, NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, GEORGIA, FLORIDA, ALABAMA, LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI, ARKANSAS, TEXAS, OKLAHOMA, ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA, IDAHO, OREGON, and WASHINGTON relatives and allied families. So far I've discovered that the bloodlines that flow in my veins are from the following ancestral families (and I learn more surnames almost daily):

ATHELINE-ATHELING, BEAUCHAMP-deBEAUCHAMP, BIRD-BORT-BORDT, CAPET-deCAPET, deCOURTNEY, DAVIS, DENMARK, DUKE-DUKES, EDWARD-EDWARDS, FUCH-FUCHS-FUTCH, HARVEY, HOBBS, JONES, KRUPINSKA, LEMINSKA, LOW, MARTIN, MORRELL, O'STEEN, PLANTAGENET, ROBESON, ST. LEGER, SHEAROUSE, SPENCER-deSPENCER, STAFFORD-deSTAFFORD, STRICKLAND-deSTRICKLAND, TAIT-deTAIT, TONEI-deTOENEI, WISE, and WIAT-deWIATT-WYATT

On my paternal (father's) side, my ancestors came to the original American "colonies" from Norway, Scotland, England, Normandy-France, Ireland, Holland, Spain, and Germany -- and old timers in the family passed on that there's a little North Carolina Cherokee and Croatan (Lumbee)  Native American Indian blood mixed in there too.

On my maternal (mother's) side, my ancestors came from Poland. I'm bragging of course, but my mom was truly one of those immigrants for which our Statue of Liberty was built. The United States, the Statue of Liberty, her U.S. citizenship, and the U.S. flag meant a lot to her. She was an infant (3 years old) when she migrated 1913 from war-torn Poland to the United States.  She was raised on a farm in New Jersey, and grew up to be proud of her family, her Polish heritage, and her U.S. citizenship.  Moreover, I know of no one who grew to be a greater or prouder "American."  If she were alive, not one of our ungrateful jerks would survive an attempt to burn the American flag in her presence. My mom was so proud that my father and all of her sons served their country in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force, and that three of us made a career in the military.  She was a model that epitomized respect and gratefulness for the freedom we have in the U.S., and for everything this country stands for in this world.

As you read this I'm sure you'll realize that, like so many in the United States, I'm a truly an American "mongrel" -- and no one on this earth can offend me by tagging me with that label. As a youngster I learned that the United States of America was the "melting pot" of the world . . . and now that I've got a few years under my belt bounced around the world a bit, I'm convinced that the "melting-pot" label is true ... and I'm proud and grateful to be in that pot.  I can't say enough of how humbly  honored I am to learn that I descend from such a "hodge-podge" of nationalities, and to be from such courageous colonial ancestors who dared all to follow their dream and quest for freedom ... all pioneers who left their indelible mark on this, our great, free, and blessed United States of America.

[SORRY, THIS IS NOW AN EXTREMELY LARGE LIST AND IS STILL "A WORK IN PROGRESS" - - WATCH FOR THE NAMES  THAT WILL EVENTUALLY BE PLACED HERE]
