WHY RUSH PI KAPPA PHI?

We attend college for one reason: to get an education. Part of that education comes from what we learn outside the classroom. Discovering leadership abilities, making friends, enjoying an active social life, and developing interpersonal skills are all part of "The College Experience." In Pi Kappa Phi you can make the most of your college experience.

Gaining leadership experience in college is of vital importance to today's graduates. Through the learning of skills as a chairman or officer of the chapter, or attending one of the excellent leadership conferences sponsored by The Fraternity, members prepare themselves for a career after graduation.

"I am proud to be a member of the nation's leading fraternity."
- Senator Ernest "Fritz" Hollings

The social life of a Pi Kappa Phi has many aspects. Intramural sports, sorority/fraternity mixers, formals, community service, and brotherhood events all provide constructive outlets for the collegiate.

On average, fraternity men perform better scholastically than non-fraternity men. Pi Kappa Phi helps you to excel in academics by settting minimum standards for our members. Pi Kappa Phi also provides a wide range of academic programs and scholarships. The Robert L. Bennett scholarship awards $4,000.00 every year to members of Pi Kappa Phi at Mercer University.

"Joining the Fraternity is the greatest thing I ever did and will mean much."
- Thomas Wolfe

PUSH America is the national outreach project of Pi Kappa Phi, the only national fraternity to create it's own philanthropy. Through PUSH America, we have raised over $2,000,000 for people with disabilities. PUSH America also offers leadership opportunities through the annual "Journey of Hope," a bicycle tour across the country, and through "PUSH Camps" and "Give-A-PUSH Weekends."

In Pi Kappa Phi, you can explore the other side of college life. You can experience leadership and service, and encounter a richer social life.

"I shall walk down any street in America, or any place in the world, with my head up high--proud that I am a member of Pi Kappa Phi."
- Tommy Lasorda

On December 10, 1904, at the College of Charleston in South Carolina, three men founded the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Today we are a Fraternity with over 140 chapters throughout the country, with more than 63,000 initiated brothers. Yet, we strive to maintain the basic ideals of our founders.
