Chris Anderson, came in from Nashville to play two nights in Sarasota with his own band. Even though these guys are what would be called pick up players, they have played numerous times with Chris before and sounded like they had been playing together continuously. Chris played a bunch of songs off his first CD "Old Friend" along with some new material he has been working on. One new song in particular called "Bed Of Lies" is killer. Everyone I know who has a copy of Chris's first CD really likes it and also rates it as one of the best blues CD's in their collection. Track his CD down...it is well worth it. Chris has been using some interesting equipment lately. He is using a Fender MIDI guitar with the Roland Virtual Guitar synth running through two Fender combo amps. His guitar sound is really full with this system and it also allows him to do some interesting sounds and tonal changes during his set while not losing that distinct Strat guitar sound. 

Right now (as of Nov 99) Chris is looking to release an independent CD of original material. If it's anything like the last release, it should be killer.
