Topslide Nut Attachment Screw Fix
(Added 06/13/2003)

The topslide feedscrew nut fits through a hole in the casting and is held in place with a setscrew (Figure 1).  The nut can move up and down vertically in its' hole to mate with the feedscrew.  Unfortunately, when the feedscrew plate is installed so the nut height can be adjusted, the setscrew is hidden behind the plate!!  Instead of using the trial and error method, I modified the plate to allow access.  The plate has a dial indicator mark on both the top and bottom, so I cut the boss off the bottom, and filed a notch to clear the setscrew (Figures 2 and 3).
