JAMES MCCONNELL DIES AT HOME ON BATTLE CREEK AT ADVANCED AGE OF 75 YEARS

Was Resident of County Many Years coming here From Indiana

	James McConnell, aged 75 years, died last Monday at his home near Ketchall, 
death resulting from Paralysis: he had been a sufferer for several weeks.
	Funeral services were conducted Tuesday by Rev. M.J. Brown, of the Methodist 
church, South Pittsburg, and Rev. T.H. Gilbert, pastor of the M.E. Church,south, also 
of South Pittsburg, and interment was in the Gilliam burial ground. A large concourse 
of friends and relatives followed the remains to their final resting place.
	Deceased, whose death brings to a close an active and useful life, moved 
to this country from Indiana a number of years ago and together with his sons engaged 
in the lumber business.
	He is survived by a wife, two sons, William J. and E.L. of Ketchall and two 
daughters, Mrs. Myra Williams, of Chattanooga, and Mrs. W.H. Perry, of Altamont.
	The Hustler joins with the many friends of the deceased in extending heartfelt 
sympathy to the bereaved family.

SOUTH PITTSBURG Tenn, Mar 20, 1922
	James McConnell, age 75 years, died this morning at 11:30 after a brief illness 
at his home at Ketchall from a stroke of paralysis. He had been a resident of Marion 
county for the past eleven years, moving here from Middlebury, Ind., and engaged in the
lumber business with his sons. He is survived by a widow and four children as follows:
Will J. and E. L. of Ketchall, Tenn: Mrs. Myra Williams of Chattanooga, and Mrs. W.H. 
Perry of Altamont, Tenn. The funeral services will be conducted at the residence Tuesday 
at 2:30 bys the Revs. T.H. Gilbert, of the Methodist Episcopal church, south, and 
M.J. Brown, of the Methodist Episcopal church, and the burial will take place in the 
Gilliam cemetery near the home.
